This is my 82ndCombined Paintingthat I have created / painted for Chinese Classical Poetry, my 734 painting since 2003;also, it is my 125th assignment in Chinese National Academy of Arts since Oct 7, 2011.
This is also the 4th time I painted a picture to match the same poem and the music I created for it since 2007. I painted this painting on the Chinese National Day vacation and I do hope it is near the artistic conception of the poem and be some help with you to learn Chinese culture and the language.
Main Meaning of the Poem
Lush grass grows on the ancient plain,
Each year it withers and flourishes,
Wildfire cannot burn it out,
It re-grows in the spring breeze.

离离原上草 - Lílí yuánshàng cǎo，
一岁一枯荣 - Yīsuì yī kūróng。
野火烧不尽 - Yěhuǒ shāo bújìn，
春风吹又生 - Chūnfēng chuī yòushēng。
