Remarks:
This is my 70thChinese Mogu Painting and my 1077th painting since 2003. It is also my 112nd Paintings in the USA and the 33rd Painting in my 6th American Travel Jan 6, 2016.

I drafted a Chinese Baimiao on Jan 3 or say in the early morning of Jan 4, 2016. Instead of coloring it to be a Chinese Gongbi painting in my travel,I chose to paint a Chinese Mogu Painting base on it.

Do you know why Chinese artists enjoy painting "Shizi -- persimmon"?

The reason is because of its pronunciation "Shi". "Shi" in Chinese means "Thing". When we said "Shi Shi", means "Everything". When we said "Shi Shi Ru Yi" Means "Everything comes off satisfactorily." Someone thought it as an idiom and someone thought as a Fixed collocation. It is from a story which was written by Ji Xiaolan (1724£1805) in Qing Dynasty (1644 - 1911).

Since then, people started to use this phase to express Everything does well. For example, often you can hear " Xin Nian Kuaile, Wanshi or Shishi Ruyi" That means to wish you "Happy New Year and Everything will be done well" .

With the same idea, people usually paint "Shizi -- persimmon " to send someone and hope the receiver's "Everything comes off satisfactorily" or " Everything is going well."

With this thoughts, I painted this painting on the first business days of American schools in my travel.

I really hope every one's everything will be done well in the new year indeed.

How do you think of the two painting, do you enjoy which one?

Chinese Baimiao as the draft of this Mugo Painting
