Remarks:
This is my 58th Xieyi -- freehand brushwork in traditional Chinese painting that I created in my art lesson on Wednesday night. My teacher likes to paint strong birds, such as eagles or some birds with "terrible" eyes :-) , but, I do not want. So, I often created my own style birds with a soft and gentle expression. I like a bird with lovely eyes and I do feel they are the soul of a picture. So, since 2005, I have been keeping creating my own birds according to my own thoughts. :-) I want to learn from my teachers and the other great artists, but I do not want to be the second "Mr. or Ms. what what"... :-) Anyway, I am really lucky that my teachers are very glad to see this and encourage me to do something creative alone. They think that is just the basic quality to be a real artist :-) Do you agree with my teachers? |
