Remarks: Listen To Shirley Sing A Song of Peony
Peony is a very popular flower in China, there are many art, music and literature works are expressing its beautiful. Also, I have learned to sing a song names Peony, too. :-)
Almost all of the art students, who are learning Chinese painting, must learn to paint peony. So, in the past over 4 years, I have painted many peonies with Gauoche, Chinse Gongbei and Xieyi styles.
But, until Thursday night, in my art lesson, after I completed this new picture, my teacher just told me first time that I have mastered the way to paint a peony with a Chinese Xieyi style ( to paint a peony with a brush and colors directly without any draft with a pencil at the first )already and I was given 90 marks.
Also, my teacher told me that one of his a long roll of peony of Chinese Xieyi painting was collected by someone with 5 digits of US dollars this week, peony painting should be one of the most welcomed in China. He is confidence in me and my working style. However, peony had been a weak part in my Chinese Xieyi painting field. That is why, I must make more practice.
Yes, I agree with my teacher and I will work harder on it. :-)
How do you think of this picture? Do you like it?
