Remarks:
This is My 913rd Painting I have completed since 2003 and it is my 44th Chinese Gongbi Painting and the 321st Assignment at Chinese National Academy of Arts Since Oct 7, 2011.

I drafted this painting on August 27, before I went to Australia, as an "assignment" I gave myself in my travel. However, until Sept 16, after I came back Chinese National Academy of Arts, I just had time and heart to color it.

At the first, I just worked on it with the general colors in my evening time when I listened to a movie on my computer, since I had to do many things in the day time for I just arrived in Beijing on Sept 14, 2014 and I had nothing here since I had delivered all of my things in Beijing back home in July, 2014.

Also, I wished to be major in Chinese landscape in the upcoming class-year.

Sept 20, 2014, all my tutors came back school from an art exhibition in Chengdu.

Mr. Wu Tong - Associate Head of Teaching Department of Graduate School and Chinese Painting School at Chinese National Academy of Arts suggested me to continue to study Chinese flower and bird painting this class-year, for he believe, if I keep working on it, I should have a big breakthrough and rise to a new step. Also, he asked me to work on three things mainly: Paint more pictures from the nature, improve the quality of the lines, learn the color usage of some modern and contemporary art masters. What he said, reminded me the direction of Dr. Liu Bo in our class: You should think of digging a Well, instead of just digging many Pits. I felt it was reasonable, therefore, following the directions of Mr. Wu Tong, I started to work on the same painting with a new attitude with more thinking and researching.

So, I went to my tutor -- Mr. Lu Wenqing to consult him. He told me to use some new kind of colors. For example, to use the gold powder /dusk to paint the lines on the petal of the water lily, to use some pure mineral colors to color the leaves. Even though the cost of these material is 25. 88 times and 22.94 times higher than the price of the general Chinese painting colors. Since I have decided to learn something new on a new level, I bought a box of this kind of colors and then to work on my art works with a more seriously work attitude.

Then I really find some special result...

How do you think of this painting? Do you enjoy it?
