Remarks:
This is my 54th Chinese Mogu Painting and my 964th painting since 2003.
Also, it is my 365th assignment in Chinese National Academy of Arts and the 9th painting I painted in my winter vacation at my home in Shenzhen.
As I have told you, Chinese Mogu painting is my favourite paiting among the 6 kinds of paintings I have learned. Then, do you know what my favorite things are to do during I paint? To mix color and water and then to play the colored water on my painting. :-)
In 2010, when I just went to China Central Academy of Arts, my classmates often said the best part of my paitning is my color. :-)
Then in 2011, since I went to Chinese National Academy of Arts, my professors have been teaching me how to use Chinese ink almost in every lesson.
Then maybe since 2013, I started to find that the ink is really the best thing among all of the Chinese colors so that I tried to mix it in to my colors.
Then since 2014, my tutors and professors have been requiring me to change my colors for Chinese goingbi to be some advanced colors that is expensived 20 times more than the colores I used before, to wor on the silk that is expensive 6.5 times to 10 times more than paper, with the Chinese ink that is made by myself with ink sticks on the ink stone istead of the prepared Chinese ink... At the first time, I did not regard it as right and I did not want to follow them, but, since so many professors said the similar words once and once ( 4 professors said the similar words in the first 5 lessons in the firt semester of 2014 class year ), I had the idea to try even though I did not want to spend so much money on the materials... However, unexpectedly, right now, more and more, I have been following the instructions of my tutors and professors, to make Chinese ink with an ink stick on the ink stone, to paint Chinese goingbi and mogu painting not only on the silk,but also on the frames, to color my paintings on two sides...
At the first time, many students did the same things as me, until the last days we left for home before our winter vacation, I was the only student still keep painting on the silk and on the frame in my classroom...
I am thinking, if we want to master a subject, we have to inherit something best in the history at the first, then we can trully develop it. So, with this idea, I have used 5 years to study traditional Chinese painting, but the more I study, the more I want to learn for I realize what less my knowledge is! I do hope to make a solid foundation no matter on thoery or practice. Base on it, to develop my own cross culture and comprehensive art.
