Remarks: This is my 782nd painting since 2003and the 423rd Chinese Xieyi Painting, also it is the 177th assignment that I have completed in Chinese National Academy of Arts .
This is the 23rd painting of a series stories ゞ屈噴膨丐〃: Er Shi Si Xiao Tu -- The Twenty-Four Dutiful Children . I painted it by learning from Mr. Ren Bonian.
This story names 幀勉拐虹郊儖銚 -- Zhu Shouchang Qi Guan Xun Mu. It records a story how a son names Zhu Shouchang gave up his official position and to find his mother.
It is said that Zhu Shouchang lived in the Song Dynasty (960 - 1279). His birth mother was a concubine of his father. When he was 7 years old, his birth mother was jealous by his legual mother and be forced to marry the other. For about 50 years, both of the son and the mother had no any communication.
Later, Zhu Shouchang grew up and became a officer, he copied the Jingang Iing (Diamond Sutra) with his blood and he went many places to find his birth mother. After he got the clew, he decided to give up his official position and he swore that he would not come back if he could not find his birth mother.
Finally, he found his birth mother and two younger brothers in Chan Zhou (in Today's Shaanxi Province),with so much happiness, he picked up his birth mother back home.
At this time, his birth mother had been more than 70 years old. I painted this painting with so much moved and I tried to do my best to express the feelings with lines...
How do you think of my new painting? Do you enjoy it?
I really hope that my effort will be some help with you to learn Chinese culture and art.
