Remarks:
This is my 14th sketch from nature since April 7 and I painted it in the garden of the peach blossoms near the school in Beijing April 22 to 25 (except the rain day on April 23).
Remembering the direction of my tutor and classmate, I pay more attention to the structure of the painting, before I started it in the garden of the peach blossoms.
I worked on this painting 4 times. When I started it, the flowers were flourishing and when I finished it, because of a heavy rain and wind for whole of the day and night, the flowers have been blown down so much...
When I observed and painted the almost wither peach blossoms after suffering the rain and wind, I was very touched. The wind and the rain have blown their petals down and they were getting wither. There were almost no flowers, but only leaves if you looked them from far away, but, if you saw them near and carefully, you would find the left few petals were still standing up on the branches with the incomplete but still transparent, clean and beautiful colors...
So that I could not help thinking of the topic of my newsletter this week: Incomplete beautiful -- Similar the peach blossoms, there are many people and many things are not perfect and incomplete because of the hard times they have experienced. But, they are still living there with a quite positive style to offer this world and the others with their last beauty.
I would really like to learn from both of the little flowers and those strong people, to do my best to record my own health and to help this world with whole of my last half life.
After seeing this sketch, my tutor pointed tow things:
1. I should not let the right two parts too close so they have blocked the breath of the middile.
2. I should cut down the right part and to make the structure more reasonable.
I do agree with these ideas.
