Hi, friends, today, I would like to introduce a new Chinese classical poem Yu Ye Ji Bei ?Lines Sent North In a Rainy Night. The meaning of the behind of the words is Writing to My Wife In The Rain Nightby Tang Dynasty(618-907) poet Li Shangyin(813-858).
Li Shangyin is one of the most important poets in Later-Tang Dynasty. About his life and literature achievements, I have made some introduction when I introduced his another two poems Chinese Classical Poem--0025:Wu Ti -- No Title and Chinese Classical Poem--0031: No Title 02 -- Telesthesia. This poem is a letter that he wrote to his wife to express that how he missed her in his home in the North from the Bashan Mountain in Sichuan province.
