The Value of Life & Hardworking ... Shirley's 76th Friendly Greeting...Sun, Feb 11,2007

Hi,Dear Friends

How are you? Have you had a good week? I do hope that you are well and to enjoy a relaxed weekend.

Also here I would like to wish you a happy Valentine's Day ahead with a big smile.

This week, in the company, we completed a yearly work-report to our parent company. Our work in 2006 and our plan for 2007 got positive comments and good directions. It also signed that the 3 researching projects, that I have led since last May, have completed basically.

We have adjusted our business and organization framework. We will develop 3 new projects with a more opening psychology and a wider cooperation with some first class companies in both of China and the West. I am glad that I have taken part in whole of the process of these important things.

We had a successful staff dinner and a party Saturday night. We commended the best colleagues, departments, projects of technology, business and management. In 2006, we got 3 rewards by the Shenzhen City government on technology. Financial information innovation as one of the Model Corporations, one of the 100 strongest software companies, got a government’s fund of science and technology researching.

For encouraging people to do more creative work in 2007, we rewarded the best projects and 20 model/excellent colleagues with much money and honor. A module of one of my projects got a reward too, but I have given it to the members in my project group.

I think the best progress in the company is its management level. Last year, at the same time, I had to fire the people who were listed on the last 5% according to the company's request. Right now, I am working on how to improve our level of management and business via learning and researching some advanced experience. Instead of firing people, we have informed all staff to sign their work contract for 2007 and 89% of people wanted to work for the company for at least 2 years.

I sang a solo and recited an incidental music poem with the general manager, vice general managers and a girl clerk in the party. I was too nervous to reach my usual level. However, I was so touched at the time when I went up the stage before I started to sing. People gave me a long time applause and cheers, when I was singing. The general manager, the chairman of the board and the leader of the monitor committee came up the stage and brought me some flowers. I did feel the highest reward and the best respect from the company, my colleagues and the leaders. Once more, I felt the value of my life and my hardworking. I do not have any family in the city, since my son went abroad, but I am so lucky to work in a great collectivity. I appreciate all of the people who are helping me, supporting me and encouraging me...

How do you think of your value of life and work? Do you love the collectivity that you are working in?

I am just a learner on art, music, English, French and the work on the web site in my free time. Anyway, I would really like to do a little bit things with what I have learned to make this little web site to be An Electronic Bridge Of Culture Exchange, Friendship and Language Learning. During the process to help the others and to improve myself.

I do appreciate your understanding, directions and supports. I do hope to get your great help continuously now and in the coming time...
