Retrieve a Balance-- Shirley's 487th Friendly Greeting from Beijing- June 21, 2015

Hi,Dear Friends

How are you? Have you had a good week? Are you enjoying your weekend?

On my side, I have had a busy, hard and delight week. Except painting 23 pictures (3 formal paintings and 20 daily practices), using about 170 piece of paper, I have suffered but overcome a sharp ache.

On the 5th or 6th day in Beijing, I re-felt some ache on one of my legs. Then it extended to the other leg while one of my arms numbed and my fingers in the edema again. I had to support myself with my hands on the wall or two chairs or something else when I wanted to sit down, stand up or crouch. Since this is something has accompanied me now and then for 5 years, I did not pay more attention to it. Then in the morning, June 15, a more terrible ache stopped me moving and going upstairs, so that I could not help thinking of stopping the study in Beijing and flying back home to see my doctors at once...

It sounds like the God looking after me. After taking some painkillers while having more rest, the ache reduced along with the time. Now I have been able to walk, go downstairs or upstairs with the pain together, even though one of my legs has no allowed me to sit for a long time yet... I guess I will be ok along with the time...

At the same time to fight with the sickness, I have not been stopping my studying and I am still the student who stays in the classroom for longest every day. Aimed at the problem my legs could not sit down or crouch, simply I found a piece of hard paper and stood on it bare feet. :-) Meanwhile, still I keep getting up at about 4:30a.m. and starting working at about 5:30a.m. keep going to sleep at about 10:30p.m.

What I would like to do is to catch my time as much as possible while to overcome the sickness and to retrieve the balance between work and life. Try to get back my formerly healthy physique to support my curent and future dream, study and work.

Instead of thinking much on a will as I did, now I do hope to live for longer. With my limited time and life, to study knowledge and skills as much /many as possible for the purpose to help and serve this world and those people who need help with a beautiful dream and what I have learned and studied...

How about you? Do you have had anything special to share?

Sincerely,

Shirley Yiping Zhang
