Shirley Created Picture for the Poem July 4, 2007

Look at Written Calligraphy for the Poem July 4, 2007

There is Picture in poem and there is poetry in painting is something Chinese artist and poets want to pursue. This poem has not only “ painted” out a beautiful painting with the short 28 characters, but also, it has delivered some sound for us. Therefore, when I read it first, I had the emotion to create a painting for it, then, I created a piece of music for it.
You see, when the poet was still on a boat, he has heard the sounds of bell from far away place. The clean bell made him think of a temple, led him parked his boat, went up the bank and entered into a little path to have a walk in the pin forest to find the temple...
Just by the temple, he looked to the South, maybe it was just the place he left for the travel, a wonderful landscape has appeared in front of his eyes:
After the suddenly and short summer rain, the golden sunshine has returned back, the weather was fair, the mountains were green, plus the clouds on the blue sky, Just like an artist had painted 4 or 5 peaks in the southwest...In another words, the great nature was just like a great artist, the sky was just like a piece of paper, the clouds, the mountains, the tree were just like the colors, plus the bell and temple, all of them together have created out a beautiful landscape painting...

MAIN MEANING OF THE POEM

When I was on the brook,
I heard the bell of Bailin Temple,
I berthed my boat and walked along a little path through the pine forest
Clouds over the mountain after the rain,
Painted out four and five peaks southwest... :-)
